Aren’t they called Information Scientists or Knowledge Managers these days? Data Science in my day was just basic stuff like data types, field sizes, permitted values, indexes, etc., when what I did was called Data Processing.

Getting used to the new app and hoping to see some of the old ComiXology functionality soon, e.g. filtering on read/unread and sorting by date purchased. I’ve only got a dozen or so issues and am already struggling to work out what I have not read/finished.

The Rat Trap at Park Theatre I need few excuses to go to Park Theatre and none to see a Noel Coward play so the only question was when to see The Rat Trap and I settled ...

The Rat Trap at @parktheatrelondon.bsky.social was a darker Noel Coward than I am familiar with and it again showed what a great cast can do on a simple stage with a engaging story.

A fun Ben Kingsley story for you. A friend of mine had a child at the same school as Kingsley and my friend wondered how he chose which Rolls Royce to drive to school each day, then it struck him; the car always matched his clothing!

Sometimes the 5* reviews are fully deserved and All My Sons at Wyndham's Theatre is a case in point. It was just the birthday treat I wanted, even at West End prices.

Many PR systems have the same fault, I.e. first I vote for the person/party I want to win but then I vote tactically against those I don’t want to win; voting Green then LibDem is not a vote for LibDem, it’s a vote against Tory.

I am against a blanket ban. Schools should be teaching children how to use tools that they all have to learn, create and communicate, rather than pretending that they don’t exist.

I’m not going to watch it on TV from UK either. Boycott means having nothing to do with it whatsoever.

The best time to undermine Starmer was when he pivoted after becoming leader of Labour Party. The second best time to undermine Starmer is now.

New pedestrian crossing Ham does not have many pedestrian crossings, despite the heavy footfall in several places, but the others schools have got one so I guess it...

On the other hand, this crossing just a short distance away on the same route is badly placed and largely ignored.

Cameron to cut seats in Commons by 10 per cent Constituency boundary review designed to give Tories second victory, claims Labour

Hard to compare numbers across countries with very different levels of devolution but the point remains that we have too many politicians at the top level (MPs) for the work at that level and that is inefficient. There were plans not long ago to cut numbers.

It’s just the way our Parliament works; a few MPs are Cabinet Ministers or their Shadows and the rest are just lobby fodder there to vote as they are told. We have too many MPs and not enough work for them all to do.

Not really when you consider that for most MPs, including Farage, the job consists of answering a few emails and occasionally going to the Houses of Parliament to hear other people speak.

If a part of Britain became physically dangerous for people we would send in public servants (social workers, police, etc.) to make it safe again, not ban people from going there.

It’s time we started taking Trump’s threats seriously.

God forbid if Greenland is attacked, the UK should immediately sanction the Trump Organization and think twice about whether we want US forces on our soil at all.
