31.03.2025 11:12 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As an American I do thoroughly miss when my feed was just cats and librarians
30.03.2025 17:01 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0After 65 minutes I gave up and got a Lyft as I could no longer feel my feet. 90 minutes between buses is...not a functioning bus system
14.01.2025 23:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@wmata.com is it normal for the eastbound H4 to have hourlong headways during rush hour? Have been at Conn & Porter since 4:45, no buses
14.01.2025 22:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am speaking from experience. It's night now where I live, so have a good night.
06.01.2025 00:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Friends, I can and do cook! I am just asking yall to please entertain even half a perspective that isn't your own! Or at least chill w judging other people for their choices when you don't know their lives? That's for X...
[+ noting here, when I moved from NYC to LA, groceries got WAYYY cheaper]
No, there's plenty of solutions, just not any u would choose for urself. Which is fine! & rational for you! I think I'm just used to talking to economists who recognize different people have diff preferences and aren't so quick to moral judgment. + I don't live in NYC, was just the original example
05.01.2025 22:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ok, I see you won't engage with this argument or entertain any other perspective but your own. Have a good day!
05.01.2025 21:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well, right...for other people who aren't you, the tradeoffs are more than worth it. People have different preferences, which drive their "rational" economic behavior. This is my whole point...
05.01.2025 19:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Not if you have one of those NYC mini fridges with just a little ice shelf! My point is just that decisions that seem irrational to one person may not be so irrational to the person actually making them
05.01.2025 18:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It is a lot easier to do this when you HAVE three people to feed. It's harder when you are just one person but perishables (like pasta sauce once opened, meat, berries/grapes, etc) only come in sizes for families. A lot goes bad before you can eat it all. +as size goes down, cost per unit goes up.
