Be careful in your generalizations. I'm 63. Had 100k debt from med school. (About$275000 in todayβs dollars) Cigarettes were bad. We had cath labs & bypass. We docs in our 60s were in med school & residency in the 80s/90s not the 50s. Some of our lengthy experience is actually pretty valuable

This is not normal in a country with advanced levels of health care. This is death by legislative fiat. Itβs never been about the βbabiesβ - itβs always been about controlling women, and letting them die is just collateral damage.

Republicans are waging a generalized war on science, but I think many of them donβt fully grok that RFK isnβt at war with science alone or per se: heβs at war with sick people, and of the view that only the lucky should be allowed to survive into old age. They are know nothings, he is Mengele.

Trump order pushes forcible hospitalization of homeless people
Trumpβs executive order couldΒ increase hospitalization of homeless individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
Gift π link.
As a former Conservator, I've had sig. experience w/ community & state mental health units/hospitals. They don't provide the care you might think they do, & w/ massive Medicaid cuts coming, they'll be able to do less, not more. The main question I think a lot...

The summary is that they are trying to criminalize every aspect of homelessness so they can arrest & forcibly commit unhoused people. Currently(/before), there are not enough mental health & substance use treatment beds/facilities, and this does not add anything, which only leaves imprisoning people

Article excerpt: Workers improperly handled vials and stoppers meant for sterile medications and, in some cases, failed to disinfect manufacturing areas and equipment, according to the report. One FDA inspector saw a worker put on a sterile gown and then brush up against a waste bin and use their hands to push down the overflowing trash. Investigators also saw liquid dripping through ceiling cracks and the growth of what appeared to be fungus and mold in a storage area for samples used for testing.
FDA inspectors have uncovered new and dangerous breakdowns in drugmaking at an Indian factory owned by Sun Pharma that produces generic medications for American consumers.

The best way to prevent chronic disease and reduce the burden of chronic diseases is with preventive medicine. This also includes things like mammograms & colonoscopies (just to name 2) that not only prevent cancer but also make cancer far more treatable when it occurs. Eating organic food does not.
