I think the interviewer did a good job at showing how he is just into the aesthetics of liberalism, not the practice and how he is quite selective in quoting and dismissive of criticism.

His quotes about the Supreme Court later show he cannot distinguish between rhetoric and action.
And he was unwilling or unable to understand the disconnect between the "curiosity and generosity" that Kissinger showed him personally and his anti-liberal actions.

When the interviewee presents Hayek as some defender of multicultural liberal society then it is totally valid to point out how they are far from ideal examples of that.

The last half of the interview was the interviewer calling him out for whitewashing enemies of lib society as defenders.
