If you do not understand what your feature helps people accomplish:

- you cannot test if it is complete
- you cannot test if it is effective
- you cannot tell whether or not new additions are core to the objective or distractions
- you cannot defend against cuts that go too deep

Removing wayfinding is a design decision.

Right. And in the case of the Ghibli generator, the relationship between the “artist” prompter and the “art” output has changed. The generator redesigned the perception of human expression at a fundamental level, shifting the power balance between humans and the environment of expression.

An AI model may be “skilled” in artistic endeavors only as it can pull from previously created art. AI image generators can apply “human” features based on the past works of human artists: pareidolia algorithms can approximate an eye shape that interpreted the shape as eyes.

An AI image is not an outcome of a creative process, the visual rendering or meaning, or the realization of a specific intention. So it would be difficult to describe the generated image as something the AI algorithm made with meaningful or intentional purpose.
