It doesn’t matter how the illegal gains were spent. They still have to be repaid to the victims by the perpetrators even if they have to borrow the money, get it back from those who shouldn’t have received it in the first place to garner future wages (in this case future tax collections).

The next president is going to have to live at Blair House and use the office in the Old Executive Office Building (if Trump doesn’t change the name) in order to have sufficient time to repair the damage and remove the stench caused by Trump.

The ACA was great. It was all the other stuff that scared the crap out of the middle of the road electorate. Focus on the things that matter to the broadest swath of voters FIRST. I’m tired of the two steps forward, three steps backwards cycle. I’d rather it be one step forward year after year.

Don’t disagree. Just saying don’t get too far out in front of the electorate on progressive issues or you will be crashed in the next election, just like what happened in 2010. Then all of those gains were lost for the next 20 years. Learn from history.

Not downplaying it at all. But don’t misinterpret it to mean the US electorate has suddenly lurched left in policy choices. It’s anti Trump, anti fascism; not a ringing endorsement for liberalism. Focus on policies that help working families get some economic relief first. Focus on immediate needs.

In CA Prop 50 won in an overwhelmingly liberal state and in response to actions on conservative TX and MO. In NYC the voter base is overwhelmingly democratic and diverse. Remember the shellacking dems got in 2010 thinking Obama’s election meant a liberal mandate? Focus on ALL working folks!

Democrats should not get cocky. VA traditionally elects a governor from the party opposite tgat which won the presidential election the year before. In NJ the republican candidate for governor was weak having lost a primary previously. In PA only once since the 60s were judges not retained by voters

I get at least ten phone calls, about two dozen emails, and several dozen text messages EVERY FUCKING DAY from candidates, organizations and political causes I have never heard about. I wonder how they came to target me. I’m not a cash cow. It’s so annoying.
