IRCC has taken off the field of study requirements for graduates of degree programs at community colleges.

Restrictions remain in place for graduates of certificate and diploma programs.

Interesting! As organizational structures the Church and Academia have many parallels.

These systems may work well for stability but not for transformation. Given declining enrolment, demographic shifts, decreased demand for baccalaureate degree, and political influence where do we go from here? ‘Not returning’ isn’t exactly fired so any idea what the payout was?

Most of the campus initiatives or events aren’t thought out in terms of students’ schedules. Early in the semester is better, midday with lunch included is great. Evening is terrible.

I’m just seeing this now but the question is as valid now as then. imo STLHE isn’t providing much unless you go to the annual conference. Will debate renewing mine.

Courses are longer (120 hours)& recognized institutionally. More hierarchical (expert & novice) rather than supported/guided learning.
