Happy to help if I can. I got my BS in Genetics at A&M in 2001, PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a specialization in Genetics and Development at UT Southwestern in 2007, and am currently Professor of Instruction in the Bio Dept at UT-Dallas.

I read it this morning. It was very much worth the time.

I'm Texas A&M Class of '01 (and was a 2%er while there).

More than one grad program interviewer commented on the "variety" of my non-biology coursework.

I took Country Western Dancing! We only did a little bit of line dancing though. It was mostly partnered.

I was a Genetics major who took the whole "well-rounded education" idea seriously.

Nevermind the jobs you had, tell me five classes you took in college:

-Intro to Acting
-Molecular Genetics
-Intermediate Swimming
-Quantitative Analysis
-Special Topics in Cold War Intelligence

I'm so glad she's okay. Obviously her life, her body, her choice, but my anxiety brain keeps going "what if it was an acid?" and really wishes she had followed the advice of her security folks and changed out of the clothing.
