The biggest problem we have in Texas is Greg Abbott’s corruption.

On day one, I will push the legislature to expand Medicaid in Texas.

Our uninsured rate is 2x the national average, and we’re one of only 10 states that hasn’t expanded Medicaid. By taking action, we can expand access to affordable health care to one million Texans who need it.

I’m running for governor to make sure that hard working Texans – like the people I grew up with in the Valley and fought for as a lawyer – have a fair shot at the American dream and are able to take care of their families.

When I first got to the statehouse, I worked with moms on both sides of the aisle to secure a historic investment in Texas public schools.

The primary problem we have in Texas? Billionaires hoarding political power at the expense of working Texans.

As governor, I will prioritize your needs — tackling affordability, creating new jobs, expanding access to healthcare, and keeping our public schools open and funded.

Thank you to my hometown, Brownsville, for launching me onto the campaign trail last night.

For nearly a decade, I’ve fought Greg Abbott in the Texas House over his schemes to hand out no-bid contracts to his donors, attack our public schools, and let big corporations profit at the expense of Texans. I’m never going to stop fighting back.
