In a way, your grandma is right—schools do indoctrinate kids through propaganda. It has taught kids to hate Jews, Black People, Palestinians. This is EXACTLY why education needs to be free, open to all, and cured of false narratives. That’s why liberals value freeing it and why they go to college.

Every year, education becomes more inaccessible. It grows more restrictive, censored, controlled, elitist. Students in school fight back because they recognize the pattern. It’s in their history books. Restricting education is ALWAYS about power. Look to schools in Jim Crow US, Nazi Germany, Israel.

Conservatives need you to believe schools are the problem, so that you won’t go to school and control your kids’ education & they can have generations of uneducated voters without the skills to think critically about conservative arguments. They go after teachers, journalists, librarians. For power.

Conservative politicians get most of their votes from poor, uneducated populations. They run campaigns on defunding schools, banning books, banning subjects, etc. Why? The same reason liberals value education—education teaches you to think logically.

Liberals value education.
The vote to fund education, support teachers, make education accessible and affordable. Of course liberals would attend college. Like the elderly, they seek community that shares a love of education.

Now, let’s talk about why conservative media spreads the lie about school

It’s INSANE to suggest church causes dementia, yes? Then let’s think logically.

Dementia primarily affects the elderly. A high percentage of the elderly population attends church because they hold traditional values, seek community, or are coming to terms with mortality. What about schools?

There are more liberals in schools. There are more dementia patients in churches. But their causes are not environmental.

Let’s break down the legitimate reasons for these statistics.

“There are so many liberals in schools, schools must be indoctrinating them” is as evidence-based as “There are so many people with dementia in churches, churches must cause dementia.”

It’s this fundamental misunderstanding of statistics that the right-wing media exploits.

THE COST OF RESISTANCE How tight will the noose get before your lungs stop breathing? How hard will the boot press before your jugular bursts? When the bullet hits your throat will your flesh let you scream loud enough to make someone hear? How pure must a migrant be to earn human dignity? How white must a woman seem for her death to mean something? When the gun is to your head, will you stay so calm and kind in the face of certain death? How many lives must be lost to get your resistance? How many sons will it cost to buy God’s forgiveness?
