I am continuing to Work On Things! I am continuing to be a person with Powerful physical and mental ailments. Modelland is a review that is going to be LONG— I'm 13k in and have covered 1/3 of the book.

In other news cutting the spires of the Bazaar freehand during dnd combat went surprisingly well

Well. Look.... it has a sucker mouth, lined with toenails, rather than one which sucks toenails. Picture a lamprey with toenail teeth. Now picture it as a giant monster covered in human legs which it extracts from its victims.

there's also a cannibalistic lizard mutant who is on the hunt for a main character's pancreas. That plot never resolves. Maybe in the fabled book 2 that never manifested....

I was having art block and then i was like. Instead of art block who'll stop me from just making another Bazaar. Huh. Whom.

This is actually the second scene in the book where a monstrosity half formed of stolen human limbs murders a child and mother before doing something goofy AF. Earlier a pond monster with musical instruments for a face ripped the arms off 2 ppl and used them to play delightful tunes. MODELLAND!!!

I was having a bad year and have continued to have a constantly difficult time. Finding something to autistically hyperfocus on has been so so good for me amidst everything. Part of me feel strange being into something so silly, like I have a "professional image".... but i am just a guy with passion

May 3rd was the anniversary of my first post about suncrab, the obscure, kinda unpopular relationship between a tyrant-god-sun and a mailman-crab from Fallen London

I'm ace aro-spec. I have never cared about shipping. I don't like romance.

But suncrab? I like suncrab

"Fever dream" is the best description I have so far but that is far too unspecific. It does everything wrong. It's deeply creative while deeply married to convention... and yet while its original ideas are Unique, they're just.... wrong. The wrong ideas. Constant weird choices.

I am obsessed with Modelland as I knew I'd be. I still can't figure out how to describe it. Transcendental. So horrific yet so blasé about it.

My fav is yhe completely incidental side character of "mutant lizard man trekking to modelland to eat the pancreas of a 15 Yr old"

Make suncrab canon, i cry, like it isn't already so deeply canon it's the foundation of the entire universe. But also. everything about it is so uncertain we can't even be sure they even like each other

I don't think modelland was written in our reality. This is, so far, the best way I got to describe it
