I gotta say that cannabis makes "Star Trek" shows extra spacy.

The A.I. bubble is going to pop just like the subprime mortgage bubble popped, but it's going to be so much bigger and more destructive.

Fallen I lie, blaming exhaustion, but really, I am no longer hungry for the drama of movement.

The way social media has been overrun with AI garbage is so depressing. The LLM industry is a threat to humanity.

The sooner they "ruin" the LLM industry, the better!

Lying machines that accelerate the heat death of our planet, drain our potable water, and profit only 7 men.

A.I. may be the way that capitalism finally, truly eats itself.

This picture hangs in a church that serves as the base for my daughter's summer camp. The only thing more consistent than humans' embracing of the Golden Rule is the frequency with which humans betray that rule.

I wonder what percentage will remain unemployed? This tech has the potential to eventually replace every kind of job.

That would be nice, but then I saw this article: "The notion that private corporations would voluntarily distribute vast portions of their profits to the general population runs counter to everything we've witnessed in modern corporate behavior." time.com/7290751/ai-f...

Is A.I. going to bring about 100-percent global unemployment? Big if true, so sayeth my chronic anxiety!

There's a deep part of me that wishes I "got" football. Seeing the broad appeal of this sport would have made my life so much easier growing up in a small Midwestern town. But alas, I'll never "get" football. It just doesn't resonate with me. But as the saying goes, to each their own and do no harm.

Voyager is wonderful. It has that sweeping, adventurous Star Trek feel that I just love. The episodes with the Borg are especially awesome. I'm moving into Picard soon!

My favourite is Voyager, but I really like the characters on DS9. It's just that the story arcs didn't grab me as much as other series. But I love the Ferengi-focused episodes πŸ˜„

Even though "Deep Space Nine" isn't my favourite Star Trek show, I think Odo is by far my favourite Star Trek character ever.

You don't have to be genuinely smart to succeed in politics, you only have to be less-stupid than the average voter, and that bar is in the dirt.

Why does it never seem to occur to some people that the Republican Party has a message that (however unfortunately) appeals to voters, and that it's not all about Democrats' own issues?

Working on consulting projects for Disney and McDonald's at work. It's kind of cool that a meek historian gets to advise some of the biggest companies in the world.
