Add in Amazon is laying off 30,000 employees two months before Xmas, Trump's tariffs, the Wild West of crypto and a dysfunctional fed govt, I predict a day of reckoning coming soon. I Hope I'm wrong but it seems like the stock market is up while we aren't producing or consuming more.

It was inevitable with Trump's idiotic policies. Amazon and Target, two of America's largest retailers, just laid off thousands of employees. Those companies are getting ready for what's about to happen.

Not just a large employer but a large retail employer. This isn't good. Not surprising, however.

It has also been a while since he had a rally and his ego lives for those events.

Good for the people that paid big bucks for their tickets - they got their money's worth!

I actually thought about writing a book on something like N. Ireland's The Troubles coming to America. At the time, I thought it was a grossly exaggerated story. Now I'm not so sure.

Yes, plus Congress once again failed to do its duty to deal with tariffs.

The media has been a dismal failure. Profits over truth. We are a long, long way from the days of Woodward and Berstein.

I wonder what the people operating the demolition heavy equipment were thinking right before they started. That is one job I would have to be desperate to do and probably not even then.

Has anyone in the media talked to these workers?

The Constitution is not self-enforcing.

The only thing holding our Republic together are our norms.

And the only thing that enforces those norms is The People.

No one is coming to save us.

It's entirely up to us.

There will be a day of reckoning for those involved. The people involved are just as bad as the cartels they are allegedly going after.

My favorite is how MAGA spent years claiming Jan. 6 was all Antifa and BLM. And not one of them said a word when Trump pardoned all the people that were prosecuted for their actions that day.

I attended a protest in Northfield, MN. Very nice small college town, about a 40-minute drive from the Twin Cities. I estimated that over 500 people showed up, of all ages but tending to be older. 100% peaceful.

If 500 show up in Northfield, imagine how many people support these protests.

I attended my first protest today! There were at least 500 well-behaved loyal Americans in Northfield, MN (!) and the main speaker was Richard Painter, who worked in W's administration.

I've often said that respect is one of those things that if you don't give it, you don't get it.

No one complained about their selection or their outstanding performance.

Let this be a reminder that corporations will always put themselves first. They don't care about you and are not capable of it. People within a company may care about you but not the company itself, no matter what you are told.
