Well done - probably the artistβs most obscure album.

Simplistic and uninformed letters that ignore the additional costs and restrictions applied to the pub industry by successive governments.

Wasnβt the edit at that point although they could have deleted previous conversations. There are many ways in which the producers give subtle but deliberate nudges - breakfast arrival order, who is in each car and probably plenty more we donβt see.

They do - the Holiday Inn at Inverness Airport - at least for previous series. I canβt see the celebrities slumming it there.

An Important Update About Our Subscription Fees (And How To Support Pellicle) β Pellicle
When Jonny and I started working on Pellicle in earnest at the very start of 2019, we spent a long afternoon discussing how we hoped to fund it. From day one, we were dedicated to paying every contrib...
I'm determined to keep @pelliclemag.com sustainable which for me means:
- Better rates for contributors
- Fair remuneration for our team
- The ability to plan bigger projects (like print!)
To do this we need to grow our subscribers, and you can read more about why this is important here:

Very sad and shocked to hear of the passing of Martyn Cornell today - only saw him last week, especially poignant with his Porter book due to be published

Yes. Thereβs an amazing variety but that sometimes tips over into novelty chasing by the cask βtickersβ and I wonder if the overall volume reduces sharply then the economics of the smallest also become unsustainable. If the likes of Landlord or Pride exit most pubs then cask would be in big trouble.

Is there a top 59 to compare it with now. A lot of big brewery acquisitions seem to have been lost (or become niche facsimiles). But many of the more independent brands seem to have waxed and waned. Is the cask beer market polarising into Gk IPA, Doombar and others with a massive tail of micros?

Despite the handle, I research and write about Ireland's brewing history and recreate Irish historical(ish) beers. Also posting food, and nonsense. Seemingly, I'm a 'gloomy beer drinker' who's 'lost in the froth on his pint.'
