I feel like a sucker now. All that wasted time.
Treated myself at last to the very popular Atomic Habits by James Clear.
Very digestible common sense for building good habits.
Would recommend (so far).
The whole thing is one big advert for her fashion brand, and whilst I love Making The Cut as much as the next horrible millennial, it didn't give me my fashion fix.
Would much rather have watched 3 hours of life as a pop star and the wild stuff they got up to on tour.
I watched that new Victoria Beckham doc last week on Netflix.
It's overall quite dull, but the stuff about the abuse she got from the press over the years is despicable. What an awful media we have in this country.
I remember disliking her growing up OBVIOUSLY as a child with no rationale at all.
Someone who was in my classes from primary school right through to college stood in my hometown's council by-election as a reform candidate this week.

FINALLY got a seat at the quiz after a 6 month hiatus.

I miss phoning my grandad every Sunday after moving to Cornwall and running through the same agenda:
"what's the weather doing?"
(He knew what it was doing, he'd always look out for Plymouth on the weather update on TV)
"how's work going?"
(He never had any idea what I actually did)

Yes and also like, don't just compain to the students if something isn't working. Actually raise that ticket.
That would be another point for this post.

It's a huge bug bear of mine in any setting e.g. shops / restaurant / gallery where the assistant talks to the customer as if they're separate from the entity they're representing (if that makes sense).
It's so weird.
Thinking it's absolutely fine and open season to criticise the tools we provide / the work we do, but it being absolutely unacceptable for us to criticise any part of their teaching.

I hate the thought of sitting down and reading a paper, but also love the act of sitting down and reading it
If I could just get to the sitting and reading faster I wouldn't be stressed about my impending deadline!
Last night I ran my first ever 10km in under 50 minutes.
Celebrated with a big pint of Rattler. Proper job.
I did 0 steps at work today so had to walk all 10,000 after. I'm still going!

Do you ever think about the fact that Wikipedia is the last good major website on the internet? You aren't bombarded with ads. It doesn't try to push video on you, and it doesn't redirect you to a scam site.
