I’m sorry I don’t want to brag but leaving the city to move to the seaside was literally a genius idea from me. As if I ever didn’t start my day watching my silly little rescue dog prancing along the beach????

Do you even have ADHD if you’ve never started a random Wednesday by sawing off the end of your desk after moving around your entire office 2 weeks previously in a configuration that meant you can’t shut the door, which you thought would be fine until you realised you can hear the bathroom fan 🫠

We were down in Glasgow for a quick trip to see my family and decided rather than do the 4h drive north on Sunday we’d break it up with a night in Bonnie 🚐 in the Cairngorms last night. Woke up and were straight out on a (fairly) flat 2hr hike - glorious 💖

I have a massive heuristic evaluation with zero deadline to write, so of course this morning I emptied my airing cupboard then folded and organised all our bedding and towels. Why am I like this? #adhd

The kids book one and specifically the line “no two people are not on fire” genuinely lives rent free in my brain at all times so I’m really relieved to learn I’m not the only person who remembers that whole era of internet culture 😅

I’ve been listening to @pierrenovellie.bsky.social ‘s audiobook “Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things” (it’s great, definitely listen to/ read it) today and did a little squeal at the mention of Homestar Runner 😭💖 will now have “The Cheat Is Not Dead” in my head for the rest of the day/ my life 😅

I’ve just been diagnosed with ADHD for the second time in just over 2 years (thanks weird NHS shared care rules) and idk why being told something I’ve already known for ages has still upset me? I’d love to know if anyone else who’s had to do the private to NHS assessment pipeline has found the same?

Of course the only thing I’ve gotten a perfect score in for a long time/ ever is being stressed by my not-actually-very-stressful-in-the-grand-scheme-of-things life

The stickers I bought for our outside bins have just arrived and I’ve truly never felt so middle-aged in my life

My favourite part of #TheTraitors is making wildly ambitious (and incredibly inaccurate) predictions about their future media careers 😅🙈

You’ve got 2 people who have sometimes gone decades w/o being able to fully, directly communicate with each other, due to mis-assumed lack of competence. They then get access to tools & training giving them direct communication, which works on top of those coping mechanisms. That’s so interesting!

So I listened to the first couple of episodes of The Telepathy Tapes & I feel like the paranormal potential diverts us away from what I believe is a much more compelling research opportunity: really understanding the relationships between these non-verbal communicators & the people who care for them
