My Ask of Non-Black People This Black History Month As Black History Month begins its 100th year, I ask my readers to approach it not as a celebration emptied of substance, but as a solemn opportunity for reflection, education, and action.

Even then, if the flames are far enough away to be pretty, they'll finish their drink, take one more pass at the hors d'oeuvres. How things happen has always been unclear. Hurricanes begin in a place where no one lives. Agents of the government start to wear masks. Fascism is a word my neighbors won't use yet. They are following the law, they say, and the sirens are coming for someone else.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

I was curious about how anyone could believe in such an obvious propagandistic lie, but I think it's partly a difference in definition

ICE is what happens when little boys grow up only playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and don't balance it out with silly little games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Not a drop of whimsy to be found in these broken men.

gotta say the biggest problem with the "these ICE guys aren't trained enough" argument is that american policemen are trained to see anything larger than a hamster as an imminent deadly threat in all situations
