I feel absolutely awful for the mom in that article. I also think the journalist did us a disservice by holding off until near the end the fact that the school was having financial difficulties.

As a now former member of a board of an independent school, this was always a source of *great* consternation.

I just read Derek Thompson's Substack article on GLP-1s. I am a coastal elitist, but I really wish he and other writers would cite their sources. There's an occasional footnote or link, but there's no way he just happens to know all the stuff that he wrote, and I would like to verify or learn more.
