I tried that but what worked the best was to germinate on agar germinating medium, then resuspend them gently and pipette them on grid. Not trivial but doable.

Great news ! Will give it a look. The tomograms look very nice!

I will release the data on the CZI public tomography portal

Yup. Have been saying this since Trump started overstepping. Where are all the wannabe heroes doing CQB training on weekends to prepare against the evil government? Prob no where because they are on the good side of the fence...for now...

When I was at UCLA, I started a similar project on hex1 bio crystals in fungus to solve by fib milling microED. Code name of the project was also IncelED πŸ˜‚ odd coincidence!!

Neural net picker with a truly general model - no per dataset training required (at least if it works as advertised). Want to try this on some messy/mixed samples where other approaches struggle!

This paper combines two sort-of-crazy (in the best sense) approaches in cryoEM sample preparation:
(1) Native, soft-landing electrospray ion beam deposition, followed by (2) deposition of amorphous ice, and reheating and freezing by laser flash melting. Has potential for time-resolved studies.

It's hype. They are just surfing on it and getting VC money by claiming that they will achieve this. Obviously they won't.

Your bar is very low if for you the cybertruck is doing well because it's driveable. It's not allowed in Europe because the design is dangerous and the sales are very very low. It fails at towing because of huge design flaws in the rear hitch and it's briques out if out of battery. Lmao
