Why not multi-member constituencies? Yes, it means MPs have more people to represent, but (i) most people will probably have at least one MP from their first choice party; (ii) constituents more likely to approach an MP they voted for; (iii) parties with >1 MP can divide area between them.

The way that I was raised, being Jewish meant believing that every human life was sacred; to save a single human life meant saving all of humanity. That no law or ritual was more important than saving a single human life.

I've got a similar story about how my father and his parents managed to escape from Vienna - I very probably owe my existence to the Nazi boyfriend of my father's nanny ...

We should call it what it is - a concentration camp. (I'm speaking as someone whose elderly great-grandfather was deported from Vienna to the "transit" camp at Theresienstadt, where he "died" soon after arrival; many other relatives were also murdered in the death camps.)
