Language hack - When talking about "autism", replace autism with "tall" and see if it makes sense:

Now write it correctly, using tall, and then replace "tall" with "autistic".

The DX were merged under TSA because differentiating them became meaningless as it did not predict outcomes. Plenty of nonverbal “auitists” developed to be no different from Aspies by adulthood.

I know someone autistic, nonverbal till 12. Now an actor, author and public speaker.

Just not true, there were always plenty of early DX of Asperger’s.

And is still massively under diagnosed.

Still a huge loss, he had a unique place in the discussion and people paid attention when he spoke.

My personal timeline is full of autistic people trying to explain that there isn't more autism than before, it's just that we're better at detecting it, and there's nothing more autistic than hoping explaining something at length will help matters when nobody is really listening.
