Criterion’s 4K edition of This is Spinal Tap, recovering the cinema verité aesthetics very well. It’s also loaded with 90 minutes of outtakes and a bunch of docs and materials.

The book was edited by Noell Birondo, who also wrote an introduction to Pereda’s thought and co-translated the text with Andres Bonilla. It means a lot to have a philosophy book and I hope it is the first of many.

I am very happy to receive, after a one-year hiatus, the 17th book in the Critical Mexican Studies series at Vanderbilt UP, Carlos Pereda’s Mexico Unveiled, a collection of three philosophical essays on the changing notion of being Mexican and other topics, by one of Mexico’s top philosophers.

I have saved it for after finishing it!
