I was a history teacher. How do you get to that level of education and still believe these things?

I mean, I'm idealistic and still, maybe 5% of me, believes that government can be run well and for the benefit of the people, but I'm not that delusional as to think what your teacher did.

It bothers me when people have video surveillance going inside their house. Not even a baby monitor for me, since those can be hacked.

If I needed video, I'd go trail cam where I can lock it and retrieve the SD card and keep it for myself.

Or put weird things in the woods to scare people away.

I can only read it for short periods of times - but I need to read it all. And the library I borrowed it from probably would love their book back soon.

Heavy book. Heavy topic. A must read to understand some of today.

We have one for both houses at the well.

We have had the pressure pump die before, but her house is a rise from the well house and she got water back, we knew it wasn't that. Or the well pump.

So now I just need to do some stuff under my house this summer to make it better for next winter.

And know why I have water? Well, the heater in the crawl space is one, and because I went up to daughter's house, and got a canning kettle full of water to do the dishes.

And the roosters started to fight yesterday evening; one was bleeding from his comb and wattle so he came inside - appears to still have one section lightly bleeding.

Morning update - Daughter's house (same well) has water.

SOOOO - all the equipment is working, it's under our house that's not.

We're supposed to get to 50 later today; later this morning we will run a drop cord and put a heater under the house to help.

No worries , we will keep an eye on it.

This made me burst out laughing - IYKYK.

They are in the well house -the well pump is underground - in the well house.

Everything else is easily reachable.

Daughter is bringing home the pressure switch.

And now? No water. Not a frozen pipe, not a broken pressure pump - either a frozen (even though there is heat in the well house 24/7) or broken pressure pump switch - or a dead well pump.

Everything else we can afford and fix ourselves. The well pump? No - so it could be months without.
