the laser reflection meme of three stick figures with a laser from the first figure being reflected by the second figure to hit the third figure. the first figure says "you should play outer wilds", the second figure is labeled "your friend who hasn't played outer wilds", and the third figure is labeled "random guy who's played outer wilds" while saying "so true"

a two panel comic of a person eating cake next to a larger cake. one labeled "the artist" says "aw man. that guy's cake is way better than me". the second panel is labeled "the outer wilds fan" and the person eating the smaller cake is being accosted by a person who says "dude you need to play outer wilds. don't look up anything just play it dude"

the "this generation was the first to be raised by" meme format of "x taught me y" except the boy has four eyes and is blue (play outer wilds you'll get this) and the "raised by" has the outer wilds logo below it. for each of the "x taught me y" lines, the x is a stretched image of a planet from outer wilds and the y is redacted because spoilers. one of the y clauses reads "autopilot is a fuck". play it so you know. at the end, the last line says "and i" followed by two black boxes because again it's redacted for spoilers just go play it.

if you're an older person who finds words like mogg and maxxing annoying, just starting using them. people over the age of 30 have the superpower to end trends by simply adopting them

It's always been extremely clear that the right switched to trying to use trans people as their wedge issue after they lost the gay marriage fight in 2015 and anyone in media who let themselves be carried along with it is at best complicit

I also have to stress this - the big operators in the DC space are flashing basically unlimited money. This is a capitalist system. You WILL find a utility willing to stretch their system to the absolute limit for this if you look around

12.02.2026 18:29 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You underestimate how horny executives are for load growth, at virtually every utility

12.02.2026 18:28 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I think they'll connect and stress the grid and we're going to see that load have to be shed during peak days to avoid collapse

I've tested it at work because bosses told me to and it also is shit, that part is true

Here's a thing to worry about: data center owners buying existing power plants, taking all that power off the grid and hoarding it for themselves.

This doesn't help. Taking away generation is the same as adding load, folks

Where they "have agreements" it is all based on the supposed ability of someone to build (mostly gas) generators before the data centers can come online and I see over and over again the DC breaks ground first. I lose sleep over this shit weekly

Hi transmission engineer here: nope
No we don't.
And even where the grid as it exists can support it, we don't have the generation

In a normal government, this results in the resignation of multiple cabinet officials (Transportation, Defense, and Homeland Security), and the closure or (at least!) radical reorg of the cartoonishly incompetent agency at the center of it: CBP.

also IF the AI doomerism was correct and we are in the process of building literal Skynet the ONLY ethical way forward would be to deploy lethal military violence against the AI industry and it's researchers worldwide.

If you aren't suggesting that, you don't believe this is end-the-world serious.
