Nope. My mom is in her sixties working as a therapist and STILL occasionally has male clients make a pass at her. Just gross. Why do so many men have such little self control??

I'm convinced that, at BEST, depression is always constant background radiation. "Inescapable black hole of pain" at worst. I've given up on drugs and will just try to live with it. I'm so glad that Kleo and her colony helped you, and she continues to help my depression.

I love that Kleo is a former street cat and it's given her such an interesting personality (excepting the time she got out and didn't want to come back inside for 36 hours though. Not cool, girl.)

That's helpful advice too. I'm not too worried though. I do carry my keys in my hand if I pass someone on the sidewalk at times in case someone by chance needs a face full of sharp keys haha.

OMG, that's so sweet! Yes, Kleo has nothing but good things to say about you! I'm convinced that your efforts have saved her life. All of her former colony mates either found good homes or stayed at the sanctuary being loved by me and the other volunteers.

It still floors me that dainty and cuddly Ella and Kleo are such vicious hunters. That's the dichotomy of cats though and I love them for it.

I don't, and you're not the only person who recommended that. I guess it feels excessive and I imagine myself rummaging around in my purse for it while asking my attacker to politely hold on. That's just an excuse though and I probably should. Too many men have attacked or outright killed women-

This is all good advice and advice that should have occurred to me already, given some of my experiences. I guess I'm not adept at self-preservation haha. But yeah, so unfortunate that we have to inconvenience our lives so much due to the existence of these creeps.

I'm just compelled to mention that I think that the patterning and coloring on Kleo's paws is similar to FrankieLinn's as well.

It doesn't happen too often and I live in a relatively safe area. No one's preventing me from my night time podcast-time walks!

I took a walk again and it's always a guy in a pickup truck asking if I need a ride. Why ALWAYS a pickup truck?? I hate when they stop ahead of me and wait for me to catch up too. It doesn't matter if I start walking faster, look away, move to the far edge of the sidewalk. They still ask.

The companionship and joy is worth the loss and heartbreak, although it doesn't make the latter easier. It's the terrible risk we take when we love. Kleo and I are thinking of you and Liah.
