As the Border Patrol heads to the Bay Area, Nancy Pelosi today said local law enforcement may arrest federal troops who break California law.

The idea comes from San Francisco DA Brooke Jenkins who says she will prosecute them.

In CA you can’t replace the windows on a historic property without triggering CEQA.

The public comment for both of these projects was overwhelmingly in support. In the 2025 Community Survey “more bike lanes” was the #4 answer to “what can the city do to make San Mateo a better place to live and work?”

This may explain why there’s an aggressive response to people who merely post Kirk’s own words. It threatens the existence of the alternate Kirk - the motivational speaker that had been marketed to young kids and white Christian groups through selective quotation & clips.

The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.

This article is a great example of reflexively sympathizing with the driver. Instead of noting the cyclists “were operating a Class 2, two-person bike legally and in accordance with traffic laws” (i.e. cut off by the driver), it reports the driver “said an e-biker startled her by hitting her car.”

This was my biggest pet peeve when my kids were babies and toddlers.

The MVP for any place where babies and toddlers are a significant user group must include restrooms and coffee.

It’s ok. My family owns 5 bicycles (including 2 e-bikes) and a ‘67 muscle car (among other things). All vehicles are welcome in our stable*. ☺️

*except SUVs and modern pickup trucks
