Bothers me when people discuss Left movements in the U.S. w/out underscoring the GENERATIONS of repression, surveillance, violence directed at movements. The "Left" is so disorganized is used as a joke but I hardly ever see those same people saying 'THE LEFT WAS TARGETED & DISORGANIZED by the STATE'

A friend of mine is an incredible artist who recently spent over 25 years incarcerated. He has created a wonderful work of art that has already been exhibited once and he would love to loan it to others who might want to exhibit it. When it is mounted, the entire piece with the frame is 48"x 67"

I love the phrase "character-forward" because that's exactly how I think about my work haha

The "work for hire"/freelance set-up of comics work is not great for most creators, in terms of long-term benefit. This is one reason (among others) to actively support creator-owned comics when you can, alongside the work you may enjoy from Marvel/DC/etc.
