I don't see a lot of people talking about this, so I want to highlight something GOOD

Billie Eilish stood in a room full of billionaires and said "you're billionaires... Why?"

She donated 11.5 MILLION DOLLARS to food equity and climate orgs, which Stephen Colbert announced to said billionaires.

I find Canadian racism to be similar to "Minnesota nice"-people will be pleasant enough to your face. Still, they will definitely do and say racist things the moment they think no one is watching.

Unless you're one of the brigade of elderly folks in Victoria who are just overtly racist.

Furthermore, it's been a bit shocking and disappointing to see how Canadian settler structures position racialized peoples into anti-Indigenous racism--they'll never be wholly Canadian in the eyes of 'old stock' Canadian settlers, but are Canadian enough to be used to tone-police Indigenous peoples.

I agree with this sentiment. Canada is a wonderful place, and I love living here.

However, some of the most egregious examples of anti-Native racism I've faced have been from Canadians.

That's not even getting into the virulent anti-South Asian racism, and before that, historic anti-Asian racism.
