I was an ealdorman with a pretty hefty weregild, so dead though I am (hit with a rock), I was pretty happy with my station in life.

I was there, as a Wimbledon supporter. It hurt but a sensational goal.

A fine cat, the photo doesn't do her/him justice, and some rogue Bladder Senna probably escaped from someone's garden #morethanweeds.

Received my copy of 'Whatever You Do...' yesterday. I've just dipped into its pages but I'm very pleased with it indeed.

Back from a Bath Theatre School production of Les Miserables. Stupendous performances, wonderful acting, and the passionate way schoolchildren played the 'schoolboys' dying on the barricades for a better world was so moving. A nice red (appropriate) wine to recover my composure #ConfinedCocktails

As others have said, this is so relatable. Brought to my mind knowing there'd be a time when my son (now 18) wouldn't want to hold my hand and telling myself, 'and that's a good thing'.

Now I've ventured outside, I too can hear music - from the Bath carnival. Nothing I've ever heard before, vaguely folkish, not unpleasant.

Shown here is a charter issued by King Wihtred (c.670 – 23rd April 725) granting freedom from taxation to the churches and monasteries of Kent, AD 699 [ref. U140/T1]

Dated at Cilling, the witnesses include Archbishop Berhtuuald; Gemmund, Bishop of Rochester; Tobias (Gemmund's successor); and Hadrian, described as 'indignus monachus' – a colleague and advisor of Theodore of Tarsus, a former Archbishop of Canterbury.

This charter was purchased by Sir Albert Stern at Sotheby's in 1946, for presentation to the county. Some information as to its previous history can be gained from its endorsements. It was sold by Messrs Puttick, auctioneers, in 1861 and purchased by Sir Thomas Phillipps. Prior to this it was probably in the Surrenden Dering collection for 200 years – Dering's ownership indicated by marks of a saltire cross in a circle and a Greek letter Delta. An earlier endorsement, possibly dating to the late 12th century, indicates that it was formerly preserved at Christ Church.

#DidYouKnow that the earliest document held by Kent Archives is quite possibly the oldest possessed by any county repository in the United Kingdom? πŸ“œπŸ‘€

The charity 'Wireless for the Bedridden' (now called WaveLength, a lovely cause) was certainly still distributing transistor radios in the 1980s.
