He told his friends, the richest man in the world and the Vice President of the United States, that he was pummeled by a dozen adult Romanians. A week later, Trump federalized DC police.

We are seeing in DC what we saw here in Los Angeles: a federal use of military force against the lives, property and livelihoods of your fellow Americans. This is not a distraction. This is an escalation.

the most common experience of being an artist in any capacity is doing a lot of work seriously and rigorously for years and learning to be ok with it not finding an audience. this is like the inverse of that in every way

right-wing movements often have a sort of needy, demanding "mom says you have to play with me" element to them – see the conflation of people not wanting you around with 'being silenced' – and the AI people definitely have it pretty bad
