What's really fucked up is when you hear shit like that from your own family. My parents used constantly question whether both my kids are autstic. I eventually went no-contact with them and have been diagnosed as on the spectrum since then. I wonder what they'd say about that now.

We live in dangerous times now. Expression of truth and empathy is forbidden. And there is someone always at the ready willing to pick apart and take aim at your words. But we have to be able to stand up and call out when we see wrong in the world.

That being said, support of Palestinians does not mean support of Hamas. It doesn't mean support of terrorist actions. But I understand the why. History is a powerful tool when used properly.

Additionally, critism of the Israeli state does not mean you are antisemitic.

You can hold two truths at once: what happened to Jews in the Holocaust was an unspeakable horror, and what the Israeli state is doing to Palestinians today is also an unspeakable horror.

Greta is acting on her moral convictions. As a fellow autstic and human being, I stand with her.

No one should be kidnapped or tortured—not Palestinians, not Israelis. But in the present moment, the Israeli government is the clear aggressor. Past trauma does not excuse current atrocities. The point is now: people are dying.

What's happening in Gaza is a brutal ethnic cleansing. The world's passivity seems to hinge on the absence of a specific, historical method of horror, rather than the horror itself. It gets a pass because the historical context of Jewish suffering is used to shield present-day atrocities.

Why do Palestinians fight so hard? Imagine your family's home, your village, your olive groves—all stolen. You are forced into a corner and told a foreign people has a divine right to your land. Their struggle is not unprovoked aggression; it is the direct result of being dispossessed.

This didn't start in October. It began with the Nakba in 1948, when Zionist forces invaded and systematically displaced Palestinians from land they had lived on for generations. The world has largely catered to the Zionist narrative ever since, showing little care for the indigenous population.

Greta Thunberg's activism is marked by a moral rigidity and honesty, traits strongly linked to autism. She consistently centers the oppressed, not herself. She focuses on a simple, unwavering truth: people are suffering and it is wrong.

I can go for months, even years without thinking about what this person did to me. But as soon as their name is mentioned, every detail of what they did comes back as if it happened yesterday.

It takes me a few days to get it out of my system and forget again.

I can count the number of people I hold a grudge against on one hand. All but one are probably in the grudge "lite" category. A grudge is there, but the anger is more of a "fuck you and I hope karma does it's thing."

But there is one above all else who incites a cold, burning rage...
