In my new office there are a row of conference rooms. each with a digital clock. You see each clock as you walk the hallway. They have different times - off by as much as 2 minutes. l do my best to take a different route, because that is just WRONG.

If you’d told me 18 months ago when I could only name one Taylor Swift song that I would be a hardcore swiftie who is sad about the tour ending, planning to stay up way to late to watch grainy streams and clown for reputation I would have rolled my eyes. What a great artist, tour & community.

also - remember
what looks like a huge mistake while knitting will often blend into the
background when there is a completed project. I can see mistakes in my knitting. Most people can’t.

Where do people get updates these days? Trying to get info on the flooded rail lines in the Hudson Valley. Amtrak is useless, twitter is not worth checking, NYT is to vague. I used to be able to find info! Not so much now.

As someone who worked at Google and now works at the NYT - what did people think would happen here?!? This was the obvious outcome.

When people ask me for career/leadership advice my primary piece of advice is don’t make changes until you understand why it is done that way. This is the biggest executive failure mode - pushing to prove yourself by making changes to fast without understanding.
