Stoicism is a dangerous friend - especially if it refuses to allow you to be sad about things that genuinely deserve your sadness.

No regrets, I made that decision back then for a reason, even if stupid in hindsight.

I will feel like I’m only waiting around to spite the government into paying my pension. No kids, which is good, but also then nothing really to live for as I can no longer do the things that brought me pleasure.

For me it’s the future of ‘keeping doing the same job until vague retirement and then die’ as opposed to the shenanigans I got up to when younger.

When I struggled with something writing-wise I take a walk. And 100% of the time I end up figuring out the solution. I would never, ever, ever, ask a machine to do that for me. Wtf.

We all have these wobbles mate. A little cry can be really therapeutic.

For me it’s the future I’m coming to terms with, despite making the right choices it can still sometimes sneak up on you.

Same. We are both awesome and at least in my case confuse the young ‘un’s by still using fake html tags like <grin> instead of all that new-fangled emoji rubbish.

And we hand-coded webpages. And then converted them to use CSS when that became a thing.
