29.01.2026 20:16 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just an incredibly on brand response. Grateful we ultimately had those drinks. In hindsight, having beers with Dan at Oscar’s was one of the most Philly experiences ever.
May his memory be a blessing
I emailed Dan in 2011 to pick his brain about writing. We agreed to meet at Oscar’s and I’d buy the beer. We traded emails about when we could make it happen and he wrote - “I would offer tonight but I have to finish an important review of the new pro wrestling video game.”

26.01.2026 21:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yep - particularly in light of their inept offensive performances in the league since Frank took over. A last minute equalizer to squeak out a point at Burnley is not good enough but the attack was improved
24.01.2026 20:46 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Obviously not but was encouraged by their chance creation

It’s a sickness.
Excited to watch Gallagher sustain a season ending hamstring injury in a Spurs shirt

09.01.2026 14:55 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Fascinating to me that Levy never figured it out. He was so shrewd and forward-thinking but it somehow escaped him that having a club-wide ethos which informed player acquisitions would greatly enhance club success and be economically efficient
08.01.2026 01:47 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Been thinking about how much of a competitive advantage my NFL team (Eagles) have because they have a DoF (Howie Roseman) who has job security and does what’s in the best interest of the team long-term. Coaches are fungible. They’ve won 2 super bowls in the last 7 years w/ 2 different coaches
08.01.2026 01:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I say this with peace and love, but when shit hits the fan at other clubs do CEO’s and Directors of Football typically take a front-facing public role? I legit don’t know
08.01.2026 01:32 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Spurs can hire and then fire as many managers as they want. Nothing is going to change until there’s a top down overhaul in how the club is set up. There’s no coherent plan, transfer strategy or footballing vision. Their approach post-Poch is completely ad hoc.
