I emailed Dan in 2011 to pick his brain about writing. We agreed to meet at Oscar’s and I’d buy the beer. We traded emails about when we could make it happen and he wrote - “I would offer tonight but I have to finish an important review of the new pro wrestling video game.”

Spurs can hire and then fire as many managers as they want. Nothing is going to change until there’s a top down overhaul in how the club is set up. There’s no coherent plan, transfer strategy or footballing vision. Their approach post-Poch is completely ad hoc.
