Here is a good way to waste $$$ but turn a reviewer a mass spec believer. Buy 3 antibodies: the first well validated, and 2 from « less reputable » suppliers. Then show that WB gives you discrepant results. Now point to the reviewer that antibodies are not more reliable than mass spectrometry.

Increased Pulmonary GM-CSF Causes Alveolar Macrophage Accumulation. Mechanistic Implications for Desquamative Interstitial Pneumonitis
New publication π« π π¬ ! We performed proteomics and transcriptomics of lung sorted cells from human (0 to 8 years). We discovered new cell markers and pathway modulated during development. A must-read for #teamMassSpec enthusiasts focused on development www.atsjournals.org/doi/abs/10.1...

EMC3 regulates trafficking and pulmonary toxicity of the SFTPCI73T mutation associated with interstitial lung disease
π¨ Exciting new research alert! We're thrilled to have contributed to this work that uncovers the role of EMC3 in managing the SFTPCI73T mutation linked to interstitial lung disease and the role of other genes such as EMC3 and VCP in surfactant trafficking www.jci.org/articles/vie... (a thread 1/4)
