Sorry for the late reply. It'd be easier to have to do the already burdensome paperwork once a year and be eligible just based on your income. When a state tried "work requirements" for a while, more than 10,000 lost their health care but employment didn't go up
04.09.2025 18:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Your trusted pediatrician can still give advice. We have been making vaccine recommendations since 1938 and we'll keep doing it no matter what comes out this month from RFK's hollow "new" CDC #Pediatrics #VaccinesSaveLives www.healthychildren.org/English/safe...
04.09.2025 18:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wrote @senberniemoreno.bsky.social and Sen. Husted , Sen. Dr. Bill Cassidy, and my Congressman to say they must contact the White House to fire RFK Jr. This is enough.

11.07.2025 12:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No doubt the same part of Canon Law was used in the Cold War for Catholics behind the Iron Curtain fearing prison if they went to Mass. Beyond sad it's come to this
10.07.2025 00:20 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0βWork requirementsβ throw people off Medicaid. 1) Fast food place offers mom with 2 kids only part time work, but latch key only offers full time slots. Simpler/cheaper for them 2) Work only school hrs? Documentation nightmare in gig economy and people you clean house for donβt document to gov.
02.06.2025 15:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Urgent to write the R senators now. The impact of the House budget: cuts $770B for Medicaid and $250B for food aid, but also manages to explode the deficit, increase income inequality, and make the world hotter faster. Terrible for kids.
22.05.2025 20:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0About 2005 Bishop Jorge of the slums of Buenos Aires, assisted by Fr. Bob of Chiclayo Peru and the Augustinians, celebrates the supper Jesus had with his friends. 2025, Fr. Bob visits the resting place of Bishop Jorge on his second day as Pope.
12.05.2025 04:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Still no public words or efforts from OH Senators Husted or Moreno to counter anti-vaccine efforts from HHS or cuts, freezes, or firings at CDC FDA NIH, but signs that plenty of people are calling and writing. Iβll do it again this week.
10.03.2025 15:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dear OH pediatricians/health workers: my Google searches/emails to Senators @berniemoreno and @JonHusted havenβt found one thing theyβve done or said to defend health care or research from the cuts, freezes, or firings. Do yβall want to try to find out? Or email them??
26.02.2025 19:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This orders immigration agents to limit where they make arrests. Targeting kids and families ...especially at their schools, hospitals, and places of worship does nothing to fix the broken immigration system
19.02.2025 15:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For the first time in my 45 yrs in pediatrics my hospital this weekend had to state a procedure for when ICE comes to haul off a mom or dad in front of their kid with a newly broken arm or 103 fever. Write our friends in Congress #ThisIsOurLane
11.02.2025 13:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ohio pediatricians (and all Ohioans) can ask Gov. DeWine NOW to appoint a Senator whoβd look critically at him and Dr. Oz. (When JD Vance becomes VP in January, DeWine will appoint his replacement in the Senate). Google βContact Gov. DeWine.)
21.11.2024 15:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey Ohio. Pediatrician here. For the sake of our kids, consider contacting Gov Mike DeWine today. Ask him to appoint a new senator to critically look at putting RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz in charge of our public health, vaccine, and health insurance systems
21.11.2024 14:13 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Every Cabinet nomination has been worse than the one before.
But RFK Jr in charge of HHS is a step too far.
It is an off-ramp for the US from a civilized, high-tech, healthy nation to a third world petri dish of preventable childhood deaths.
I cannot accept this. I don't understand how anyone can.
