Wrong. It's absolutely helpful to see reviews before spending $60/$70/$80 on a game.
I do think more people should learn to find reviewers with your same taste. They're much more helpful that way.

Saw some people talking about how the last act of clair obscur changes what its themes are and undermines the first two thirds and I couldn't disagree more. I felt like it only added on layers that were also deeply human despite being fanrastical
