I accidentally found a floor clip during runs last night, so me and mostly Exonym tried all the spots you could do it. Here's it happening the first time, I simply cannot play a game without breaking something. Seems to be dying the frame you hit the ceiling cancels the death animation and you fall thru the floor. It's pretty easy on the low ceiling.

Wow, you just unlocked a memory for me, I think I remember playing this as a kid, it was so hard.

Batman for NES stretched to a 16:9 aspect ratio.

I know I'm the last person who should talk about video production quality.

However, if I see you playing a game and you stretched a 4:3 image to "fit the screen", I'm stopping right there. There's no excusing that.

It's fun, I don't think it would take more than an hour blind

Special shoutout to the final boss becoming sentient and softlocking me in the fight. It's supposed to bounce around but it just went straight to the top and never came down. No timer so no way to die. 🐉

@stepickford.bsky.social interesting port, it was fun figuring out how to go thru it quickly. Always interesting to see the balance of trying to get close to the original within the constraints of the platform. Do you have any memory of how long the dev cycle for these kind of ports generally was?

GnG on Amstrad, a limited port but still kinda interesting. Only 3 stages then it loops, no ending. One hit deaths, one weapon and you can't shoot opposite in midair, no continues. Mashing up close is super strong. A few annoying/random spots. Song is a jam. 🔪 www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDEV...

This was a game request that I quit to just learn the run instead. It's very trial and error, so you just make small progress each try. I could tell I liked it enough to learn it so I just ended after 2 hours to learn.

1cc #890: Dark Seal. Very cool D&D-style fantasy arcade adventure, with a variety of transformation spells ranging from useless to mighty. The final boss is brutally hard (and even moreso on the final Gate of Doom romset)
