A laminated wall sign at the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy Mass. It's titled "Tough Topics" and below, it reads: "Sometimes, you want to know, but you don't want to ask." Below that is a list of topics -- listed alphabetically, from Abortion to Suicide -- with their corresponding Dewey decimal system number (i.e. the location for those books on the library's shelves). Some topics included in the list: child abuse, divorce, drugs, foreclosure, HIV/AIDS, incest, infertility, LGBTQIA+, miscarriage, post traumatic stress disorder, rape, sexual abuse, substance abuse.

Honestly one of the best reasons I can give you to plant native plants right now is that everything fucking sucks & a lot of it feels (or is) totally out of our control (depending on who you are). One thing most people can do is plant a plant and then look at bees happily sipping on it.

Dear fountain pen fans: In case you didn't know, the Goulets helped found and are on staff for an anti LGBT and patriarchal SBC church whose pastor says that being gay is an equivalent sin to murder.

The SBC pours a lot of money into regressive political causes.
