Please, Marie, if you knew me you wouldn't criticize and insult me in such a way. I am hopelessly a libra and too often see all sides of things.I know probably much too much about my generation, especially my end of it born between 1965-70. I appreciate you sharing your wisdom, but not insulting me.

In these regards we have done better than the Boomers. Thank you for your ideas, and while I express some criticisms, Marie, I agree with much of what you say too about our generation and do believe there are many people who work hard to make a better world. Can we do better? Yes. I am hopeful.

I criticize and certainly don’t “trash” because I am sad that we couldn’t do more, that we haven’t changed the world. Many people opted for material comfort and personal “success” over change. Maybe there’s still time.

Of course l, all of these things are over generalizations — and in that way, a bit silly. I know many fabulous wonderful people in my generation and many change-makers but we’ve hardly been a transformational generation. Where has our Dr King or Caesar Chavez?

Yeah. The Baby Boomers blew it.

I am Gen X too and did not go into those fields either, but many did. I am not sure what our generation added to the common good.
