21 October 1902 | Eddy Hamel was born in New York. As a teenager, he moved to #Amsterdam. 1st Jewish player in Ajax Amsterdam. He scored 8 goals in 125 league games.

After his arrest in October 1942, he was deported to Auschwitz, where he perished on 30 April 1943.

New Mexico's economy is a fraction of the size of New York City's.

If they can enact universal childcare — and relieve working families of a crushing cost burden — surely we can too.

Pretty clear that a lot of people jumped the gun on the motive behind Kirk’s assassination. The shooter:

1. Grew up in a Republican family
2. Donated to Donald Trump
3. Loved guns
4. Was steeped in Groyper culture

This isn’t a simple “raging leftist hated Kirk” scenario.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination was horrific.

That doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority of gun (and political) violence has been perpetuated by right wingers.

You don’t get to change the narrative at will.

For what it's worth, I don't agree with them; I don't believe any of what's happening is sustainable for another four years, let alone thirty.

I saw a comment quoting a philosopher or poli sci expert who apparently said it would take 30-40 years before people got fed up enough to effect any changes. That seems unsustainable and unrealistic to me. But I'm not an expert. Your thoughts?
