Anime has largely been my primary source of work, but this past month my anime captioning work was nearly non-existent (in large part due to AI). I'd have not made rent if not for the help of content creators who valued this accessibility work & wanted the best for their videos & audience.

I should mention I got to play Seven-Part Pact (7PP) before the Manifesto came out. I played the Faustian.

Although I'm positive this game is way more extensively documented elsewhere, my own documentation is littered with touchpoints of games with which 7PP appears to be in dialog.

Seven Part Pact is having a moment (as they say) & I’m glad of it, but also keenly aware of what is lost in the current “TTRPG Illuminati” framing of “who got to play it” — which is that many dedicated folks have been playtesting for months & years, often online, for the literal love of the game.

The Seven-Part Pact: The Joys of Being Overwhelmed It's a lot. And that’s kind of the point.

Game design is a dialogue, with the designs themselves mounting powerful arguments beyond their creators.

7PP is the critical commentary on Diplomacy and Braunstein that we didn't know we needed.
