a spotty brown and white moth with an orange head who's delightfully called a confused haploa moth.
A white moth with long antennae sitting on greenery with purple flowers. It has a tan wavy line that spreads horizontally across both wings and is named the cream wave moth.
This gigantic brown stripey moth is called the blinded sphinx moth (but he sees just fine apparently) and it is so big it's wings are casting a shadow on the blue lawn chair where it's sitting. It has fuzzy antenna and scalloped wing edges.
this brown and white moth called the gray spruce looper has a horizontal pattern across its back that looks like tree cover, and it's sitting on my super awesome brass window detail.
as molly and i fall in love with mn moths, we're learning they are named things like "confused haploa" or "hawkmoth" or "gray spruce looper" and come on.
