I always loved the fact that Mary Shelley's Frankenstein begins and ends in the Arctic and based on this trailer and the interviews Guillermo del Toro has given, I think this may be one of the most faithful adaptations we've seen.

With Good Boy coming to theaters on Friday, I thought I'd repost my review from SXSW. I absolutely loved this movie. This film manages to actually do something new with the haunted house subgenre. And Indy gives quite a performance!

Nearly every performance in Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another is fantastic. That said, the issue of political violence hits so close to home right now that I don't know when I can watch this one again. Still, I still really enjoyed it.

Chris Stuckmann's Shelby Oaks has some downright creepy and unsettling scenes, but as a whole, the film is a bit of a misfire for me, namely cause of the last act. Here's my review out of #FantasticFest. The NEON release hits theaters next month.
