Yes I know this argument is a bit silly, but it raises the question, for me at least, is there a similarity in nature (not necessarily in degree) between the concept of being an employee and that of being a slave? Lease vs Sale (or theft) of your time, labour and freedom?

A thought:
- There are people who own (parts of) corporations
- The law considers corporations as people
- Owning people is illegal, it's called slavery and should be punished
