The Sahalie Falls in Oregon. This river creates a turbulent water cascade with two split falls, one large one small. There are many proudly tall conifers surrounding the water. But the rocks below are covered in moss, grass, and small plants. Seemingly to better feed on the mist from the falls.

In the tree town USA of Evanston Illinois you could hardly tell that the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee is endangered as it's seemingly everywhere. This specimen is enjoying an afternoon snack on a patch of pink Monardas. We see the bee's folded wings as it hangs on to the thin flowing petals. And can see the characteristic yellow/brown fuzz with darker center patch for this bee.

Dozens of miniature perfectly round mushrooms emanating from the inside of a decaying fallen tree trunk. As if a parade of fungi across the bark. With a hint of bright green moss at the bottom edge of the parade. As if spectating the relative giants.
About the photos I post.. I try really hard to make good, and at times entertaining alt text. Other than some times having to rotate or crop a bit, they are untouched originals. I mainly use an X-T30. But randomly also my Google Pixel 8.
