Plate of chap chae: stretch sweet potato noodles, seasoned veggies, some sliced ribeye, and other ingredients... soy and sesame oil based sauce.

Final product... I forgot the ginger, which I like to put a little of, but otherwise... taste decent.

The noodles are the tricky part for me. I always saw the noodles shocked in cold water and pulled so they would be stretchy. Idk.

There are some recipes where they say cook the ingredients all at once. I always saw the veggies each cooked separately because they all have different cooking times, and only at the end are they mixed.

I used to have a tradition of making containers of chap chae for friends and neighbors during the holidays. I think I want to start that tradition again. (I have a non-Korean friend who loves chap chae...).
