I stop learning new information for a while when what I've already learned far surpasses my understanding. A primary function of reflection is to bridge the gap between raw experience and understanding its meaning.

It's easy to not be competitive when you always win. Competition comes from knowing what it's like to lose, and being afraid of it happening again.
