Chris Bryant slams former Prince Andrew over Epstein,

"A man on a constant self-aggrandising and self enriching hustle"

"A rude arrogant and entitled man who could not distinguish between the public interest which he said he served, and his own private interest"

There's a point in this where he is clearly trying to argue that married women should not have finances independent of their husbands and also that they shouldn't be allowed to get divorced and you do basically realise this is a war against all of modernity, but particularly women.

These terminally online types also don't seem to have any understanding of why Labour exists as a political party. Lost quite a few by-elections and a few GEs in the past 100yrs..

Find anyone on the left wishing for Labour's destruction increadibly suspect as well.

NEW: The government will not oppose a Lib Dem move to compel ministers to release documents about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s appointment as British trade envoy.

Trade minister Chris Bryant confirmed release but warned it wouldn't happen until after police investigation had concluded.

This line from the right stopped reading like "theres a social cohesion problem in the UK" a couple of years ago.

Now it reads entirely as: "If you don't elect us, we'll get violent."

The idiocy thst Reform frequently display continues to shock me.

They'd spend their first term with every public sector union on strike. Sure that would really help them deliver anything on their agenda.

Entirely possible that this is a party leader visiting a candidate in a by-election to show his support.

Wish the 'leader only turns up for the win' tradition in UK politics would die off.

Angeliki Stogia has been working ridiculously hard, and deserves all the support Labour can give.

When Gordon Brown makes any intervention into public life, it’s always about doing the right thing or standing up for the vulnerable. Compare that to the motivations of any other recent former PM.

What if all those years of life were not just an investment in capital growth but were actually the entire point of all of it, what then.

Abosolutely. Why have all that money leaving our economy at all!

Nuclear needs to be in the mix for backfilling low generation times. Thankfully we're more than able to do both in the UK through domestic companies, chiefly the publicly owned GBE!

Economic data today is pretty great, especially surplus.

Even taken as an in year figure, significant improvement.

Generating increased growth now a more pressing issue. Planning reform cannot be watered down and we need a plan to ramp up direct investment in energy; the real driver of inflation.

It was so shallow, and badly optimised. Don't get me wrong id love one in this genre. But unless theyre adding loads of new active content I dont think it will improve it.

Worth noting that the UK monarch is in a similar position. They also have the same power of pardon...

(The founding fathers modeled the presidents powers on monarchs because they wanted him to be on the same level as his contemporary heads of state.)

Because the American constitution placed the President above the law. And the only mechanism for holding them account is controlled by his stooges.

Man charged over heckling of Prince Andrew as he followed coffin The Duke of York was shouted at as he walked up the Royal Mile behind the Queen's coffin.

Did this guy ever get an apology?

Waiting with bated breath for the future announcements of arrests.

This wasn't 2 guys. It was institutional. We cannot let the scale of corruption, looking the other way, or outright compliance with the efforts of an international pedophile ring and its corrupt network.

READ MORE Green councillors are making North London housing even more expensive

"The Green Party has a habit of supporting things in principle and opposing them in practice. It wants environmentally friendly transport, then opposes HS2. It wants clean energy, but opposes wind farms locally. It supports affordable housing, but opposes almost every building project it sees."

I can see why, I mean the similarities are endless!

I exhausted my capacity for attempting to explain the difference between unilateral and multilateral disarmament to cranks when they were in Labour. Now they're running the Greens im even less interested...

I started off thinking, "huh he doesn't really know, hes new" etc.

Now, think its knowingly duplicitious. Textbook non answers on a topic hes uncomfortable with, not because he doesn't know what he thinks, but because he knows the electorate disagrees with his position.

Today marks a major step forward for workers’ rights.

Unions can now spend more time fighting for better jobs, better pay, and better conditions - after most of the Tories’ Trade Union Act is repealed.

NHSE seeks external digital support as job cuts continue NHS England has acknowledged it cannot meet key digital requirements of the 10-Year Health Plan and needs to buy in resource from the private sector.

This HSJ article currently burning a path of fury through NHS staff right now.

Colleagues, friends etc all messaging me in real palpable anger.

NHS orgs being forced to cut up to 50% staff while demand increases.

UK is uniquely able to fill this role (Geography, Industrial base, established tradition and logistics) but it involves some hard choices and yes, will be seen as service favouratism.

Despirately needed, and really encouraged to see this. But it doesn't change the fact that 3% will not be enough to deter Russia.

Capability must be the priority. Strategic gap in European capability is in the number of naval vessels.

North, Black, Baltic & Med all need coverage.

Want people to have more kids?

Make raising them easier.

Its not hard to do, just costs public money.

Completely agree with Glen. This is fundamentally anti-british. Entirely Volkist fash coded.

Speaking as a young hetrosexual married person here: Goodwin's idea that introducing a tax for not having children, would ecourage having children, rather than further price my generation out, is laughable.
