One of the joys of working on the Beano is playing with the comic's vast history. Here's a peek at next week's Minnie the Minx story, wherein Minnie dons her original outfit from her debut back in 1953. Art by Laura Howell (and Leo Baxendale, of course!)

It's October, so you know what that means? Yes - the Beano Christmas Special is in shops now! It features a big Christmas Carol parody starring all the Beano faves. I've written Minnie the Minx, the Bash Street Kids and Roger the Dodger for it. Merry Christmas!

I don't think I've mentioned that the Beano Summer Special is out now, featuring a big ol' adventure where the Beano gang find themselves whisked off to the Land of Odd! I've written for Minnie the Minx, the Bash Street Kids and Roger the Dodger. Give it a whirl!

Sad to hear about the passing of Allan Ahlberg. I read so many of his books growing up, but the Ha Ha Bonk Book in particular was like a sacred text to me. Still have my old copy too! Thanks for the laughs, Mr. Ahlberg.

That's magnificent, I hope this is the genesis of a new Beano fan!

And with you on the credits, I remember Fleetway/IPC allowed artists to sign strips so I'd cross-reference them with DC Thomson comicd to identify artists who'd worked on both. Much easier now!
